Project MKULTRA is the codename for a highly-classified experimental program conducted by the CIA in the 1950s and 1960s that tested the aspects of mind control through the use of drugs and other methods. The project was initiated as a means of determining the most effective mind control methods for use on captured prisoners as well as foreign leaders.
